Aim:To use water to extract the dye from skittles using the process of chromatography
Materials;
1.5 skittles
2.water
3. Petri dish
4.Beaker
Process:
step 1 :place the skittles into the petri dish around the edges.
step 2:pour 100 ml water gently into the middle of the petri dish.
step 3: you watch the magic happen.
step 4: last but not least you tip the water out and look at the skittles that have no tast.
Why do they bleed out at the same rate?because they are the same skittle but different flavor.
Why do the colours not mix together?because they have sugar in them at sugar flouts
